The Hidden Dangers Of Martha Stewart's Leaf Shine
Spray Trick
By TESSA

In January 2023, Martha Stewart visited "Today" to share her tips for caring
for houseplants and recommended using leaf shine spray to give the plant a healthy, glossy appearance.
While such sprays give plants a lustrous look, they pose hidden dangers. The sheen can be misleading as these sprays can suffocate plants by impeding their
ability to breathe.
Moreover, such products create a sticky base that attracts dust. Even if you try to wipe the leaves clean,
it requires considerable force, which can be detrimental to plant health.
The dust buildup, combined with the waxes and oils in the sprays, can block a plant's stomata, hampering vital processes, such as photosynthesis
and water movement.
