The Home Freshener Hack That Uses Cinnamon And A Heat Vent
By JACQUELINE DELIBES
The holidays are a time when many homes are filled with sweet scents. You can accomplish this feat year-round by dangling cinnamon sticks in front of your heating vent.
Gather four or five cinnamon sticks and tie them together using twine or ribbon. Then, attach the bundle to a heat vent slat with a binder clip or zip tie.
The warmth from the heater will activate the cinnamon scent, and because the heater will come on and off in cycles, you won’t get overwhelmed with a constant stream of the smell.
Plus, natural air fresheners like cinnamon don’t have the dangerous toxic chemicals that commercially produced ones have, which can cause issues like asthma.
