Line drying your laundry indoors allows the evaporated moisture to become trapped within your walls, which creates unhealthy levels of humidity in your home.
According to Pheena Kenny of the Asthma Society of Ireland, "Moist environments encourage the growth of mold, which can release 'seeds' called spores."
While you aren’t able to see these spores, they can definitely cause allergic reactions in some people and worsen symptoms of those with asthma.
The Washington Post has even reported that air drying your laundry indoors results in it smelling musty due to the increased time it spends saturated with water.
