The Medicine Cabinet Staple That Will Banish Pesky Ants

Despite their tiny size, ants can cause big problems if you ignore their presence. Fortunately, you can easily deter them using Vicks VapoRub, easily available in most households.
Vicks VapoRub has a strong odor coming from a mix of camphor and methanol as well as other various herbs. This odor irritates the ants' sense of smell and forces
a hasty retreat.
To repel ants, first scout out their points of entry, which could be damp areas and places like cracks in walls, gaps in foundation, holes in floors, and poorly sealed windows.
Next, coat the areas with
a liberal dose of Vicks VapoRub, using a finger or a plastic knife to evenly spread the ointment. Ensure the ants get maximum exposure.
You can also place a heap of Vicks VapoRub in the ants' path whenever you see them crawling. Then, follow their trail as they run away and apply the ointment in their exit point.
