Among the things you do before bed, placing a bar of soap on your nightstand might not typically be a part of your routine. However, doing so can prove extremely beneficial.
Traditionally used for laundry, you can use Zote soap to ward off insects as well. Simply place a freshly opened bar of Zote by your bedside, frame, or mattress to repel bugs.
Zote and other medicinal soaps contain citronella oil, commonly used in insect repellents. Detergents and strong-smelling soaps, like coconut or eucalyptus, are equally effective.
