The Plant Mistake That's Attracting Brown Recluse Spiders To Your Lawn
By CHRISTY RAE AMMONS
Overgrown shrubs and grass in your yard may be attracting brown recluse spiders, as these venomous arachnids like to shelter in dark areas that can also provide them with food.
To keep these spiders at bay, adjust your lawn care to remove their hiding spots. Look around the yard
for overgrown plants, untrimmed trees, wood piles, or other backyard clutter.
Regularly mow grass, trim bushes and trees, cut back the thick plants if you live beside the woods, and keep the garden tidy to discourage these solitary spiders.
