The Popular Bathroom Trend HGTV's Property Brothers Can't Get Behind
By ZOE NOLZ
Drew and Jonathan Scott, otherwise known as HGTV’s Property Brothers, advise against a popular design trend: the use of fancy or vintage-inspired mirrors
in bathrooms.
The brothers argue that, while mirrors with an aged look, such as patina mirrors, might seem chic, they are not practical for everyday use in a bathroom setting.
"That [mirror with an aged look] is not meant for there. It's meant for a decorative wall, but not the mirror you need to use every day," Drew told Good Housekeeping
on Instagram.
The Scotts also stress the significance of proper lighting for the bathroom mirror. "For your mirror wall, sconces don't typically do the trick," Jonathan told MyDomaine.
He added, "Nowadays, there are many mirrors that have built-in light fixtures. It gives you the perfect glow when applying makeup or taking
a selfie."
