Named after one of the seven wonders, Taj Mahal quartzite is a natural stone countertop that has been dominating kitchen trends on TikTok and will make your kitchen a showstopper.
These stone slabs are best known for their stunning texture and elegant appearance. They usually come in warm shades like white, cream, gray, and taupe with marble-like veining.
Consisting of quartz, feldspar, mica, and other minerals, the slabs undergo extreme pressure and heat to become quartzite, giving them a distinct color and veining pattern.
The natural stone is also durable, easy to clean and maintain, and scratch- and spill-resistant. Plus, it can withstand heat, UV rays, and stains with elan.
These benefits do come at a cost. Taj Mahal quartzite is expensive, and you might have to shell out between $100 and $220 per square foot for the material alone.
