Even the most talented interior designers and real estate pros make mistakes from time to time, and they may regret decisions they’ve made. Tarek and Heather El Moussa are no different, and when the HGTV stars of "The Flipping El Moussas" realized they made a mistake, they resolved to learn from it, too.
In an episode of their show, Tarek and Heather tour a $12 million home that Tarek almost bought for $4.4 million just a few years ago. The couple treats it as a learning opportunity, and notes the new amenities during the tour, such as pop-up power ports on the countertops that are perfect for appliances, smart phones and laptops.
These outlets may seem like a simple upgrade, but they’re a valuable improvement that provide convenient connectivity, so Tarek and Heather said they would start including them in their own flips going forward. It's not always easy to know the right decision when remodeling a home, but being aware of all the possibilities can improve the outcome.
