The Trendy Kitchen Paint Color Nate Berkus Is Obsessed With

Although HGTV’s Nate Berkus typically opts for a neutral color palette, he’s embraced the growing trend of green accents and is a major fan of Portola Paints' "Nitty Gritty" shade.
On Instagram, he noted the shade’s subtlety: "I like a color that's sort of muddy, like a non-color ... A little bit softer, a little bit deeper, [...] a little bit moodier."
Berkus even used the color for the kitchen cabinets in his and Jeremiah Brent's New York City home. Nothing says approval quite like a designer using something in their own space.
