The Useful Herb Trick That Can Help Keep Rats Out Of Your Garden
By KALEIGH BRILLON
Rats are pests anywhere, but they are especially annoying in your garden. If you want a humane way to get rid of them, plant herbs that deter rats and keep your garden safe.
Plant rat-repelling herbs around your garden to keep these rodents from nibbling on your plants. The herbs might not get rid of them completely, but most rats will go elsewhere.
Basil, lavender, and mint are all scents that will make you want to enjoy your yard, but they’ll make rats hit the road. Surround your garden bed with herbs to keep the rats out.
As an alternative, take mint or citronella essential oil, soak cotton balls with them, and place them around the garden. If minty smells are too much for you, try eucalyptus.
