The Way Martha Stewart Uses A Tomato Cage As An Indoor Plant Stand
By PAMELA SIEGEL
You can always count on Martha Stewart for home decoration hacks, including this tip for making an indoor plant stand using just a basic, round tomato cage.
Available at your local garden center, round tomato cages usually sell for $5 or less and can come in various colors like red, green, black, and silvery metal.
Start by cutting off the spindly feet that usually go in the ground with heavy-duty scissors or tin snips, then smooth the edges with sandpaper.
When that easy prep is done, flip the cage over so that the larger end is on the ground and simply place your potted plant on top.
