Kitchen Counters
Food residue attracts ants and cockroaches, which spread germs. Wipe your counters with disinfectant or rubbing alcohol after every meal and deep clean regularly.
Use a disinfectant spray or wipes every day to wipe down the seat, under the seat, the handle, and all the crevices and hinges to remove urine splashes, bacteria, and germs.
Dog dishes attract germs like salmonella, E. coli, MRSA, and listeria. To protect your pets and your entire family, wash their bowls with hot, soapy water every day.
Then, disinfect them by soaking them in 1 gallon of water and ⅓ cup bleach and rinse them thoroughly. Alternatively, wash them in your dishwasher on the sanitizing cycle.
Kitchen sinks can harbor bacteria like salmonella and E. coli from handling raw meat and other items, and bathroom sinks can accumulate fecal particles from handwashing.
Keep a disinfectant spray or wipes under the sink to make it easy to wipe down your sinks daily, including the basin, drain, and surrounding rim. Then, deep clean them once a week.
Food residue can turn your table into a breeding ground for bacteria. Wipe down a wood dining table after each meal with a microfiber cloth, dish soap, and warm water.
Using a soft sponge, clean glass tables with warm water and baking soda, and metal tables with soap and water. Disinfect with a 1:1 mixture of water and vinegar in a spray bottle.
