This Colorful Flower Might Just Be The Key To Keeping Roaches Away
By SASKIA AINSWORTH
While cockroaches can wreak havoc in a garden, simply blasting them with chemicals isn’t always the best solution. Instead, plant chrysanthemums for a stunning, natural deterrent.
Since cockroaches are very sensitive to odors, they are repelled by mums' unique scent. As such, this hack is most effective during the flower's peak blooming season in the fall.
Plant already or almost flowering chrysanthemums in your garden during spring for yearly blooms in autumn. For short term benefits, you can use cuttings around the house instead.
Planting multiple chrysanthemums will have better results than only growing one or two. Observe your results during the blooming season, then adjust your planting accordingly.
