This DIY Solution Will Help Keep Mosquitoes Away From Your Patio
By KRISTEEN CHERNEY
Enjoy your summer outdoors without irritating mosquitoes crashing your barbecue. Ruin their party instead by spraying hydrogen peroxide on surfaces all around
your patio.
Mosquitoes have a strong sense of smell, which is how they find food. It's thought that they dislike the smell of hydrogen peroxide and steer clear of surfaces sprayed with it.
More scientific studies are needed to prove it, but anecdotal evidence suggests hydrogen peroxide may be an effective mosquito repellent. It might even kill mosquito eggs.
While hydrogen peroxide is a natural, common household agent, avoid using it on your skin, as it can cause irritation, and don’t spray it near pets since it may be toxic to them.
