This Household Staple Is The Key To Getting Rid Of Oil Stains On Concrete
By ETHAN HARRISON SMITH
If you're looking to clean oil stains from concrete surfaces such as driveways and patios, a common household staple can be an effective solution: powdered
laundry detergent.
To use this method, sprinkle laundry detergent powder directly onto the oil stain, then add warm water to create a paste. Scrub the area with a brush for two to three minutes.
Let the paste sit for 15 minutes, then scrub the area again and rinse with water. This process lifts oil stains from the concrete, but it may need to be repeated for deeper stains.
While this method works well on superficial stains, it's important to note that laundry detergent can sometimes etch the concrete and will require physical effort to see results.
