This Kitchen Staple Is The Key To A Sweet-Smelling Shoe Cabinet
By MICHELLE ROBERTS-GARCIA
Nothing is worse than catching a whiff of something foul while relaxing at home. Luckily, the solution to your shoe stench problem is likely already in your kitchen: baking soda.
There are a couple of different ways you can apply this hack. You can sprinkle the powder directly into your shoes for a low-effort solution, but you’ll have to clean it up later.
Alternatively, add some baking soda to an unused coffee filter and tie the edges to create a sachet. Place one inside each of your shoes, swapping them out when odors appear again.
Upgrade this trick by adding a few drops of essential oil to an old sock and leaving it in your shoe. This works best with natural antibiotics like tea tree or eucalyptus oils.
