Tips And Tricks That Will Keep Unwanted Bugs Out Of Your Home
By ROCHELLE HEATH-HARRIS and DEIRDRE MUNDORF
Reduce Yard Clutter
Bugs and other pests hide under leaves, foliage, large rocks, and wood, including mulch. Keep these bug harbors to a minimum near your home to keep pests out.
Shoes Off Floor
Bugs are commonly found inside of shoes. Reduce pest problems like this by keeping your shoes stored off the ground, and shaking them out before putting them on.
White Vinegar
White vinegar is good at keeping ants and spiders away and even kills mosquitoes. Dilute vinegar by half with water and spray around the perimeter of your home.
Firewood
Wood is a haven for particularly damaging pests, like termites and carpenter ants, so it's best to not store firewood inside your house or on the ground near it.
Diatomaceous Earth
If you don't like to use chemicals, diatomaceous earth is a natural product alternative that works by drying out the moisture around bugs
and their habitats.
