Try This DIY Squirrel Repellent To Keep Your Yard Squirrel-Free
By SANDY BAKER
Keeping squirrels from gnawing on your wood deck or furniture seems like an impossible task. To stop them, make the wood taste and smell less appealing with a spicy DIY spray.
This DIY repellent is a fast, easy, and inexpensive alternative to store-bought capsicum sprays or products that use sounds and light to distract and get rid of squirrels.
Add about 4 cups of water and 2 tablespoons of any organic hot sauce to a clean and sanitized spray bottle. If desired, add in less than 1 teaspoon of mild dish soap.
Shake the bottle and spray where you notice squirrel damage, such as bite marks or other scarring to the wood. Reapply the spray or up the spice level until the pests are gone.
