Redesign your bedroom and add your own flair at little cost by upgrading your simple closet doors into something chic using IKEA's low-cost RÖDEBY placemats.
To try this hack from TikToker @perfectly_imperfec, take the closet doors off their frame and remove handles and hardware. Then, measure them to know how many placemats you need.
Lay the mats out to estimate their placement and trim off excess parts if required. Ensure they're straight using a level and secure them to the closet doors using Liquid Nails.
Get a nice, even coating so the mats adhere well to the doors, and place a heavy object on top as they dry to ensure a good bond. Sand the whole surface down before priming.
Then, paint and seal the doors to finish the job and let them dry before affixing your new hardware. Finally, reinstall the doors in the frame.
