Use Just Two Ingredients To Remove The Mildew Smell From Your Laundry
By TRICIA GOSS
By properly pretreating your laundry using two natural ingredients, as well as making sure your load dries thoroughly, you can remove the unpleasant mildew scent in your laundry.
When washing your clothes, add a cup of white vinegar to the fabric softener dispenser, as it is a natural disinfectant that can help eliminate the mildew odor.
Baking soda is another great option. Add one cup of baking soda directly to your washing machine’s drum for its odor-absorbing powers.
Once your clothes are thoroughly washed, it’s time to dry them. It’s important to choose the correct drying method based on the type of fabric you are laundering.
Some materials can handle machine drying, while others are better off air-drying. Additionally, make sure you don’t put your laundry away while it’s still damp.
Do a final sniff test to make sure your laundry is odor-free. If you still notice any mildew smells, repeat the washing process until your laundry smells fresh.
