Use Repurposed Materials To DIY Fences That'll Stand Out
By MASIE O'TOOLE
Doors
Turn reclaimed doors into a fence by treating them with a weather-resistant coating to allow them to withstand exposure to the elements, and adding support beams at the back.
Bicycles
Create a quirky accent fence in your front yard by getting hold of some old bicycles, partially embedding their wheels in the dirt, and adding wood or metal supports.
Skis
As skis need to be replaced after every 100 days of use, you can repurpose old ones as a fence. Simply join them and keep them upright with wood beams like any regular fence.
Ironing Boards
Get some old ironing boards, remove the fabric cover, detach the legs, and use the boards like regular pickets. Leave them to weather for a worn look or paint them.
Wood Pallets
Paint some pallets your desired color, stack them upright in position, drive stakes into the ground between them, then attach them to the stakes to hold them upright.
