Use This Handy Kitchen Staple To Easily Clean Your Grill
By KATE NICHOLSON
A ball of aluminum foil will work as a makeshift steel wool scourer. Its jagged edges act as the fine, sharp fibers found in steel wool to easily clean food debris from a grill.
As you slide the DIY cleaning tool back and forth, the aluminum will snag debris — bits of meat, nail-like shrimp shells, and burnt fat — caked onto the grill wires.
Take a foil about as wide as the grill. Crumple the sheet into a fist-sized ball so it can run over numerous grill bars at once without slipping through them.
Turn your BBQ on for a few seconds so that the heat will help loosen the leftover food and grease. Wear gloves and use a tong to protect your hand while cleaning the grill.
