If you're looking for a natural and effective way to drive ants away from your home, bay leaves can be an ideal solution. There are various ways to use this spice for this purpose.
You can cut some dried bay leaves into small pieces and scatter them around potential ant entry points. For best results, replace the leaves with new ones once the scent has faded.
Another method is to make a paste of fresh bay leaves, mix it with water in a spray bottle, and spritz it into crevices, corners, and other areas where ants tend to congregate.
To tackle anthills in your yard, prepare a bay leaf tea by boiling a pot of water with a handful of bay leaves and 2 tablespoons of salt, then let it simmer for about an hour.
Allow the mixture to cool, then pour it directly on the anthill to drive the ants away. These ant control methods are safe to employ, even if you have children and pets at home.
