Use This IKEA Stool Hack To Create A Chic DIY Side Table
By DARBY WAGLER
To make a side table out of an IKEA stool, you'll need something flat, roughly the same size as the base of the stool, and glue or screws to attach them.
One of the best stools to use from IKEA is the Marius. Not only is it one of the cheapest options, but it comes in either black or white, so it’d be
easy to spray paint as well.
As for creating the flat surface of the side table, one option is to use a cement stepping stone, which can be purchased from stores like Home Depot or Lowe's for less than $2.
The cement stepping stone will give your side table an organic and earthy look. You can also use a plastic plate from Target, which costs $0.50 and comes in several color options.
The lightweight plate can stay put on the stool with just a small amount of glue. You can also glue on a wooden tray for an organic look or the IKEA Sommarflox for a boho look.
