Vinegar Is All You Need To Get Rid Of Pesky Algae Stains On Your Patio
By EZEKIEL MAINA
When used correctly, white vinegar will help you remove algae effectively and affordably, thanks to its acetic acid content that breaks down an algae's structure for easy removal.
Fill a spray bottle with undiluted distilled white vinegar for stubborn infestations. Or else, mix equal parts vinegar and water to create a milder yet effective algae remover.
Drench the infested spot with the solution and let
it sit for an hour so it penetrates and breaks down the algae. Scrub with a stiff-bristle brush and rinse gently with water.
White vinegar can ruin oil or water-based paint on concrete or erode polished cement if left for an extended period. It's better to test the solution on a hidden corner first.
