What It Really Looks Like Inside Joanna Gaines' Charming Garden Cottage
By BROOKE YOUNGER
When she's not running Magnolia Market, Joanna Gaines loves to retreat to her affectionately named "garden shed" property — but this isn't your grandma's rusty tool shack.
The mini cottage-like shed is equipped with a potting bench and deep farmhouse sink. Inside, you'll find tall lattice windows, rustic wood furniture, and a stone fireplace.
Tall bookshelves accompany either side of the dreamy main window, and Joanna even installed a rolling ladder to whisk books and apothecary jars from the upper shelves.
The space is also totally functional. Deep storage shelves keep spare pots below the tidy metal-wrapped countertops, and the farmhouse sink makes watering plants a breeze.
The Gaines' home is surrounded by 40 acres, and the land just outside the cottage features rows of roomy garden beds and trellis where the family grows flowers and vegetables.
The property also boasts a large, white-framed greenhouse, and beyond the blooming garden beds lies an adorable wood cabin-like chicken coop with a run.
