What Time Of Year Should You Deadhead Lavender?
By ROBYN HUNT
The best time of year to deadhead lavender is right after the flowers have finished growing to their full potential, which typically occurs in late spring or
early summer.
However, the exact timing can vary depending on the specific variety of lavender and your geographical location. Some species may also require deadheading in late summer.
This happens because many lavender plants produce a second wave of flowers later in the summer, particularly when the first deadheading is performed in late spring.
In such cases, the deadheading process can be repeated once the second round of blooms has faded, encouraging a potential third bloom and extending the plant's flowering period.
