What To Consider Before Cleaning Your Bathtub Jets
By MEREDITH EASTWOOD
To clean your bathtub jets, you should avoid cleaners with harsh chemicals that can damage the tub's surfaces and harm the environment. Instead, use white vinegar and baking soda.
Ensure the jets are turned off, and drain the bathtub to access the jet nozzles and prevent water flow during cleaning. Then, clean the bathtub using a mild cleaning solution.
Mix white vinegar and water in equal parts, and add it to the tub. Turn on the jets for about 10 minutes so the vinegar circulates through them, removing dirt or mineral deposits.
Drain the tub and fill it again with clean water. Run the jets for 10 minutes for a good rinse, and use an old toothbrush to scrub the nozzles to remove any remaining residue.
