What To Consider Before Installing Magnetic Flooring In
Your Home
By SÉAMUS GREGAN
After years and years of using the same flooring materials, it’s time to take the next step: magnetic flooring, which is now gaining in popularity due to its range of benefits.
The floorboards feature trace amounts of iron that attract the matching underlayment to create a magnetic bond that holds the floor in place without the use of glue or mortar.
This makes installation incredibly simple, as any mistakes can be easily rectified. First, the underlayment is cut to cover the floor, then the magnetized tiles are laid on top.
It’s also fairly cheap to install, even when accounting for any new materials that must be bought, and its lack of chemicals make it environmentally friendly and health conscious.
