Ree Drummond has been renovating her home, and on her Instagram Stories on July 11, 2023, she gave a sneak preview of the space, showing off the beautiful Mexican tile floor.
The tile appears to be from purveyor Casa Castillo, handcrafted by its artisans. It is a striking geometric pattern of bold contours filled with pretty floral details.
The unglazed tiles are not slick to walk on and can withstand heavy traffic and wear and tear. Each cement tile is made one at a time by using a hydraulic press and natural dyes.
The colors of the tiles in Drummond's home are reminiscent of the palette that's represented in her popular cookware and home furnishing line.
Drummond's caption on the image of the new tiled flooring read, "The dogs will get mud all over this but you only live once," accompanied by a crying, laughing emoji.
