Why People Are Putting
A Bowl Of Lemons In Their Bathroom
By JULIANA LUMAJ
Many people believe that cutting a few lemons in half and placing them across the bathroom can absorb odors, offering a cost-effective alternative to candles and scent diffusers.
Although there isn't any scientific proof to support the effectiveness of lemons in neutralizing odors, several publications endorse this practice, suggesting it's worth a try.
If placing cut lemons doesn't work, another approach involves spraying lemon juice on damp, mildew-prone areas, letting it sit for about 10 minutes, then wiping the space clean.
However, if lemon-based methods still fall short, placing a bowl of baking soda in the bathroom can be a natural and scientifically proven solution to
absorb odors.
