Why You Should Consider Installing A Porcelain Sink In Your Kitchen
By MICHELE SLEIGHEL
Whether the material has striking vein patterns or is simply clean and white, a porcelain sink in your kitchen can add a brightening effect that's smooth, sleek, and clean.
Made from dense clays fired at high temperatures, porcelain is resistant to moisture, scratches, heat, cold, and stains. It can last up to 25-30 years before needing refinishing.
While porcelain is durable, it's possible for it to chip or crack. Luckily, that type of damage can be fixed with relative ease — epoxy gap filler compounds usually do the trick.
Most porcelain sinks are glazed, making them fairly easy to clean since they won't stain or retain sticky substances if properly maintained. Just avoid cleaners with strong acids.
