Why You Should Hang A Few Mint Cuttings In The Shower
By RITA KUEBER
Hanging eucalyptus cuttings in the shower releases an astringent, calming fragrance, but there’s another hardy, aromatic plant you can use that has a lovely smell: peppermint.
Add mint to your bathroom by keeping a pot of it near a sunny window, or grow it outside and take clippings regularly, tying them to the showerhead, which acts like a diffuser.
One of the many benefits of peppermint may be as a stress reliever. Alternative medicine research indicates peppermint oil reduces nausea and anxiety and improves sleep quality.
While research continues, there are indications that peppermint increases alertness and helps with everything from migraines to menstrual cramps, weight loss, and digestive issues.
