Why You Should Plant A Clover Lawn In Spring
By JESSICA DANIELS
A clover lawn is an eco-friendly alternative to a traditional yard. It needs to be mown only about four times per year and never yellows for any reason, be it drought or dog waste.
The optimal time to plant this low-maintenance lawn is during the spring after the last frost, as clover thrives in temperatures averaging between 50 and 85 degrees Fahrenheit.
Moreover, spring's warmer temperatures coupled with periodic rains set the perfect stage for a clover lawn to germinate and establish
itself properly.
If mid to late March still feels too cool in your area, consider waiting another week or two before sowing clover seeds, ensuring the weather has warmed sufficiently.
