Why You Shouldn’t Use Newspaper
To Clean Your Windows Anymore
By JAHAIRA ARTHUR
While a newspaper was once ideal for cleaning glass, the type of paper used to print today's current events can leave your
glass worse than before.
For years, cleaning your windows and glass with a newspaper page was the ideal way to get them spotless, with no streaks, lint, or particles staying behind.
President of Glass Doctor, Brad Roberson, says, "While this was a common technique used in the past, newspapers were once much thicker than they are now."
Robertson explained that today's newspapers can quickly deteriorate when wet and leave newsprint spots on your mirror frames, window sills, and your fingers.
For easy window cleaning, dust off any debris on the glass and panes, spray cleaning solution, then swipe with the squeegee or use a microfiber cloth for a streak-free finish.
