You'll Regret Breaking This Estate Sale Etiquette Rule
By SAKSHI KHAITAN
Estate sales are a great place to score some valuable items for cheap. However, it’s important to remember you are a guest in someone’s home and need to follow some unspoken rules.
When browsing, be careful not to damage any of the items or shift them around unnecessarily. If you bring in food or water, be sure to dispose of them properly and do not litter.
Since estate sales are held after the death of a loved one or for reasons like financial issues and divorce, always be mindful of your words and refrain from critiquing the home.
Lastly, don’t enter rooms that aren’t open to the public, and be respectful to any employees and fellow shoppers by waiting your turn and not hoarding items or fighting over them.
