Tim Butters
Expertise
Victorian Architecture, Japanese Minimalism, Stone Circles
- Tim has visited every castle in the UK at least twice and every cathedral at least once.
- He has lived in at least three houses that were probably haunted.
- He is an accomplished master in the lost art of wallpapering.
Experience
A brief stint working in an architectural practice upon leaving school was enough to convince Tim his true calling was journalism. After two decades spent making the written word his slave, Tim now enjoys drinking Martinis and exploring innovative and bold new ways to write about houses and gardens. If Tim were an interior design it would be Art Deco because he believes in the modernity of the machine and the unlimited power of dreams. As someone with a deep and abiding mistrust of stairs, Tim would like to one day live in a bungalow. He also believes that they don't make bricks like they used to.
Education
Tim has a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism from Cardiff University and is NCTJ qualified.
