Aldi Is Selling An Affordable Patio Essential That Likely Won't Stay On Shelves Long

The German-based, internationally-beloved chain Aldi is known for its inexpensive yet still high quality groceries. But you should also check out Aldi for trendy outdoor furniture at an unexpectedly low price. One of the reasons that the store — which has over 2,400 locations across 38 states in the United States alone — can consistently keep prices low is that they don't ship items. You can shop online, but you still need to pick up the goods from the store, or use delivery through Instacart. Sadly, once your local Aldi is out of a popular item, all you can do is wait and see if more arrives.
Before summer is in full swing, you should run to your nearest Aldi to stock up on the best outdoor finds. One such example is the Belavi Folding Lounge Chair, which Aldi shoppers are grabbing up for their patios. The chair comes in all black, or with a gray metal frame and off-white mesh cover. It has a built-in pillow, a 4-way adjustable backrest, and folds up for easy storage. It even has a carrying handle so you can comfortably lounge at your favorite park, beach, or campsite, or turn your own backyard into the summer destination of your dreams. This chair is classified as an "Aldi find," which means it's sold in limited quantities for a short period. These products are typically seasonal and different from Aldi's "Regular Buys," which are available year-round.
Price comparisons of other foldable lounge chairs
It's worth keeping in mind that, although similar chairs are available from other retailers, most can't beat Aldi's price of $39.99. The WLIVE Outdoor Tanning Chair from Amazon is double the price, even at a currently discounted $79.99. However, it does have a few additional perks, such as an extra adjustable position (five instead of four), more color options, and a hidden face hole for laying on your stomach in the sun. It's also covered in fabric instead of mesh, which may offer better comfort, but isn't as breathable.
Another Amazon find is this Outsunny Folding Chaise Lounge, which is almost identical to the Aldi version and also comes in green and blue. It's much closer to the price at $45.99, but lacks a carrying strap, and the mixed reviews complain that it's a bit flimsy. Foldable chaise lounges at Wayfair.com were all in the $70 to $90 range, and $53 at Home Depot.
Walmart's affordable patio furniture offered the best Aldi comparison with the saney Foldable Chaise Lounge, available for $38. This particular chair also comes with a carrying strap and pillow, has a 5-way adjustable backrest, is made of breathable, waterproof fabric, and even features an additional side pocket for storing a phone or book. Be forewarned, though, that $38 is only the "price when purchased online" and shipping is around $14.
