It may seem like a simple decision, but figuring out the right seating arrangement for your space, budget, and needs can be quite complex. If you want maximum seating, plush comfort, and a one-and-done purchase, your best bet is an outdoor sectional. Many sectional sets will come with a couple modular pieces that will allow you to arrange them as best suits your space, and there are tons of options out there that range from something as small as a loveseat all the way up to sets capable of holding all the occupants of a soccer mom's minivan. 

Though outdoor furniture can be pricey, and the options when shopping online can feel endless and overwhelming, Costco is always a great place to start if you are looking for a deal. Right now, they are selling the SunVilla Kent 7-piece Outdoor Patio Sectional Set for $2,200. While this may seem like a high price tag, the customer reviews suggest that it could be worth it should you be willing to cough up the cash. It is a complete set with a right and left love seat, armless chair, corner chair, coffee table, furniture cover, and two ottomans. So yes, you may be spending a lot, but you're also getting a whole lot for it. 

Besides just getting a lot of furniture — the set offers seating for six, depending on how it is arranged (and eight if you want to use the ottomans in a pinch) — this quantity does not lack in quality. At the time of writing this, it has a 4.6 out of 5-star overall rating, with a total of 43 five-star reviews out of 54. So what makes this so great? Well, from a visual standpoint, it is a great neutral beige color, which is the ideal color for hiding the inevitable stains and dirt from the outdoors without looking too dark or heavy. When looking for porch or patio furniture, you also want to choose durable materials. This set is made of all-weather wicker, which is resistant to staining, fading, and mildew. The coffee table is also unique in that it has a concrete appearance that is designed to allow the wicker ottomans to nest inside of it, allowing you to lounge without permanently taking up extra space. 

Customers were pleased with the quality as far as feel, appearance, delivery, and assembly. "Very happy with this sectional," said one review. "It's sturdy but also extremely comfortable. Quality is definitely prevalent. The color scheme is also perfect." They also found that it was generally very easy to put together, with more than one review mentioning a hiccup-free setup. Though again, the price may seem painful at first, the furniture you keep outside is no less an investment than that which you keep inside, so it's best not to pinch pennies if it's going to be at the expense of quality. 

While customers didn't seem to have an issue putting the furniture together, those who picked it up rather than had it delivered to their home found it a bit difficult to manage. "The packaging is a lot. It had three large boxes, and putting them in a pickup truck bed was challenging," said one review. Another issue for some customers was that they had trouble getting the cover to fit just right. However, this was not a universal experience. "There were some comments and concerns that the cover didn't fit properly," said one customer review. "After I set up the furniture, I immediately tried the cover and it fits perfectly. You have to turn the table sideways so the cover can fit." It seems that when organized properly, the cover should fit without issue, but if you don't want to rearrange your setup every time you cover and uncover it, this could be a downside. 

Another issue that one customer ran into was keeping the outdoor furniture securely in place. "Set is nice and sturdy, but took a star off because the feet are plastic, so on a deck it slides all over the place. Bought rubber feet to stick on, but since they are not flat, they don't stick well!" This will be more of an issue on surfaces prone to slipping, like composite or plastic, but if you have concrete or a softer surface like grass or gravel, you should be ok as is.
