The Anthropologie Tray Dupe That Is Too Tasty To Skip

If you've ever swooned over Anthropologie's home décor, you're not alone. With their vintage-inspired vibe, aesthetic details, and whimsical style, Anthropologie pieces feel like something you'd stumble on in a tucked-away Parisian boutique. But one piece that's captured our hearts? The adorable Anthropologie Piper cocktail tray. It's the kind of tray that elevates anything it touches, not just cocktails. It's not an ordinary tray but has a mirror in the middle surrounded by cherries, making it a great place for pastries, candles, and cute décor. There are pros and cons of buying Anthropologie décor. One con is the cost, which isn't as easy to swallow as the drinks the Piper cherry tray is meant to serve. Enter an affordable DIY dupe that looks too tasty to skip.

You probably know by now that we love a good Anthropologie dupe. Our dream Anthropologie dresser dupe is one of our favorites because it's not too far off the mark of the pricier version. And that's what makes the Piper cocktail tray dupe so impressive. Although it retails for $68, you can save quite a bit by DIY-ing your own fabulous version. Plus, you can tweak the colors and themes to match your home's personality. All it takes to recreate the look at home are a round mirror, fake cherries, acrylic paint, and craft glue — the idea is to remove the frame from the mirror and glue painted cherries onto them. This whimsical DIY cherry tray brings a dash of Anthropologie flair for a fraction of the price.

How to dupe the Anthropologie cherry tray

If there's one thing Anthropologie does well, it's designing home décor that feels whimsical. That doesn't mean their coveted décor can't be replicated with a few supplies, however. To dupe the Piper cocktail table, the most affordable mirror we found that's similar to @chelseazeferina's is the JJUUYOU Circle Wall Mirror ($17.99). The second pick is Hobby Lobby's round mirror ($27.49), but it's slightly larger. For the cherries, we like Walmart fake cherries because you get 50 cherries for under $4. In case you don't already have acrylic paint, hop over to Amazon.

When you can't remove the frame, use painter's tape to protect the mirror. You'll paint the wood frame with wine red paint. Next, paint the cherries in a mix of imperial red, berry red, and wine red. By mixing up the reds, the cherries will look more realistic. Cut the stems to your preferred length, and then once the frame is dry, glue the cherries onto it with craft glue. One of the best things about this DIY is that, if you prefer olives or flowers, you can use them instead of cherries. Then, you can opt to gift the tray to your bestie, use it for cocktails, décor, or just let it sit by itself. Or, DIY a dupe of an Anthropologie candle holder to sit in the middle. This DIY is cute enough to do any of these things.
