Say Goodbye To Cluttered Kitchen Drawers With A Budget-Friendly Dollar Tree DIY

Bag clips, rubber bands, and tape; while these miscellaneous items certainly have a place in the kitchen, they tend to contribute to messy junk drawers. However, it can be difficult to place them anywhere else, which makes total sense as to why you would turn to DIY projects to create special storage for these essentials. Luckily, there are many simple and affordable Dollar Tree storage DIYs that will help make the most of your kitchen space. And when it comes to corralling your kitchen clutter, all you need are Dollar Tree's Crafter's Square Wooden Decor Boxes and reliable wood glue to create a nifty storage solution.

Whether you live in a small space or are already overwhelmed with the amount of clutter in your kitchen drawers, you know how important decluttering and organization are. If you're on a budget, well, this can put yet another barrier to finding storage solutions that will functionally (and aesthetically) organize random kitchen items. With this DIY project, you can easily declutter and tidy messy junk drawers and store smaller bits and bobs, such as batteries and lighters, and then stick them inside kitchen drawers or cabinets.

How to DIY a kitchen drawer organizer using Dollar Tree boxes

To begin, you'll need four Dollar Tree decor boxes, epoxy glue (or any other budget-friendly wood glue for home improvement projects), and something to clamp the boxes together. Over on TikTok, creator Liz Fenwick took their Dollar Tree boxes and stuck them together to create a larger box with four compartments, clamping them overnight using a bag clip. Many wood glues, including epoxy glue, require an overnight cure to securely adhere together, so keep this in mind when assembling your organizer. Once the glue has dried, store your smaller items, such as twist ties, reusable or single-use storage bags, small magnets, or loose change.

If more storage is needed, feel free to add more compartments by gluing more boxes to the storage container. You also might consider cutting down some of the wooden boxes to create a longer section where you can organize sponges and rolled-up dish towels. Keep size in mind, however, to ensure your DIY storage fits in your kitchen drawers or cabinets.
