DIY The Cutest Mini Shelf For Your Miniatures Using Dollar Tree Supplies

Whether you collect Mini Brands or have recently hopped on the crafty DIY trend of making your own miniatures, tiny figurines are undeniably cute. Since they're so small, it's easy to amass a huge collection of minis in a short amount of time. However, without anywhere to display your miniatures, they can start to feel more like clutter and less like the precious decor pieces they truly are. Luckily, you can turn Dollar Tree crates into a display shelf to keep your minis neat and organized. 

To make this shelf you will need one Crafter's Square Wood Pallet or Wood Slat Crate, magnets, hot glue, paint, and acetone (an acetone-based nail polish remover will work, too). The acetone is helpful for disassembling your Dollar Tree wood pallet or crate, as it's an effective method for removing glue. Start by soaking your wooden piece in acetone for roughly five minutes. Then, use pliers or your hands to pry the individual boards off of the pallet. Let these boards dry, and then paint them in a color of your choice. You could also leave them as-is if you prefer the natural wood look. Next, glue two small magnets to the long side of your wood pieces. Repeat this process for each board you have. Once complete, stick these little shelves to your fridge or any magnetic surface in your home. When you're happy with the shelf placement, you can start placing your minis on the shelves. Be cautious when placing items, since you don't want to overload the shelf with any extra weight it can't handle.
