The Dollar Tree Storage DIY That Saves So Much Bathroom Space
Space-saving tips are some of the most sought-after content on the internet — and for good reason. People love organizing and maximizing their storage space, especially in smaller homes. And honestly, some areas of the home need it more than others. Take bathrooms, for example. They often lack under-the-sink storage, and countertop space is practically nonexistent in many homes. All of your face, hair, and body products usually end up crammed wherever they can fit, or worse, cluttering up every inch of the counter. Thankfully, there's a Dollar Tree DIY storage hack to create a two-tier bathroom basket organizer that'll only cost you around $15 and save you tons of bathroom space.
To pull off this clever DIY, all you need are two round Essentials coated wire baskets from Dollar Tree, one Cooking Concepts nickel colored wire paper towel holder, four zip ties (Dollar Tree usually sells a pack of 65 for $1.25), some E6000 glue, and gold spray paint. With just a few simple steps (and more money left in your pocket since store-bought bathroom organizers of this capacity tend to cost more), you'll have a chic storage solution that instantly upgrades the area under your cabinets and countertops.
Create a two-tier bathroom basket organizer using Dollar Tree supplies
To make this stylish DIY Dollar Tree bathroom organizer, you'll start by cutting a hole in the center of one of the white wire baskets so you can slide it onto the paper towel holder. Once it's in place, take a zip tie and thread it through the hole in the center of the basket, loop it under the paper towel holder, and bring it back up through one of the basket's side holes. Pull it tight to secure it. Then repeat on the other side, this time threading the zip tie to the left, so the basket stays firmly in place.
Next, take two more zip ties and tighten them around both metal rods on the paper towel holder, about 2 inches from the top. Cut off the excess ends. Since these zip ties will act as stoppers for the second basket, feel free to adjust their placement depending on the height of the products you plan to store between the two tiers. You can also opt for a smaller basket on top for a more polished look.
Then, cut a hole in the center of your second basket, slide it down the paper towel holder until it rests on the zip tie stoppers, and add some E6000 glue where the basket meets the zip ties. Finish by spray painting the entire piece. Using gold offers a classic touch, but you can switch up the color to match your bathroom aesthetic. Once dry, begin organizing your small bathroom essentials.
