The Genius Dollar Tree Hack You Need To Hang Curtains Without Ruining Your Walls

Whether you're decorating with popular curtain styles or an older classic look, a great pair of curtains can be a complete game-changer for a room. It doesn't matter if it's the kitchen, living room, or bedroom; they're always an excellent way to add more style to any space. They're also perfect for covering windows that may be less than stellar or walls with a few holes or stubborn marks here and there. But sometimes, hanging curtains can be a pain.

The good news is that there's a clever Dollar Tree hack that lets you hang your curtains without drilling holes or using mounting anchors. For this hack, you'll simply need to purchase an Essentials Plastic Broom Handle for your rod and a couple of Essentials Anti-Slip Mop and Broom Holders for the brackets — and that's it. No tools or fancy equipment are required. And you don't have to worry about chipping paint or cracking your drywall when trying out the hack.

The holders are self-adhesive and sturdy enough to hold the weight of your typical mop or broom handle in addition to a pair of curtains. This means the hack won't cost you more than $3, plus the price of any curtains and rods that you purchase. But of course, if you really want to keep prices low, you can always opt for an eclectic curtain look by using fabrics from around your home and layering different textiles.

Using a mop and broom holder to easily hang curtains

This project can be completed in less than 30 minutes, and it's also an easy window treatment option to keep peeping eyes out. To start, measure the wall and window space where you want the curtains to go to ensure good coverage. Note that the Dollar Tree broom handle is 47 ¼ inches long, but if you need something longer, feel free to double up the broom handle and holders.

Next, give the walls a quick wipe down with a microfiber cloth to remove any dust. This ensures the holders create a good bond. Remove the paper backing and place the holders on the wall, pressing them down firmly. Then, add your curtain to the broom handle and mount the handle onto the holders. When you press the holders, they should snap back and lock into position to secure the handle. Once you're done, you'll have a polished curtain setup that leaves your walls looking just like they did before the project.

The best part? You can use other items for the rod, such as an old broomstick or even a branch from your yard. Another option is to paint the handle and holder a matte black or brown to help it complement the other elements in your room. Or, pick silver or gold metallic spray paint for a more elegant feel. Finally, add more charm with decorative touches such as rod caps or stylish curtain rings.
