Costco's Trendy Planters Are Going Viral, But There's A Catch You Should Know About

Plus, the all-black color and ridged edges look incredibly chic and modern while still having character. At only $24.99, it is no wonder that they are so popular. Unfortunately, when you try to shop for this particular planter, you may run into a problem. While it is available in stores for purchase, it is not available on Costco's website.

Although it may be one of Costco's best home and garden items for 2025, the planter is tricky to track down. While Costco's website may seem to reflect its whole inventory, there are some items that are either only sold online or exclusively in stores. For those who cannot easily access a physical Costco location and rely on delivery services, this can be a frustrating problem. While this may be disappointing, there are a few comparable options out there, including a similar planter sold on Costco's website. Costco may not have the Veradek ripple planter on its website, but Walmart does. The Sunside by Veradek Ripple 16-inch planter is available for $31.96 on the retail chain's online store. Walmart also has Veradek planters with the same look in different sizes, such as a 12-inch version that has all of the same features. The 12-inch planter can be purchased online for $17.98. If you live closer to a Walmart store than a Costco warehouse, you'll likely be able to find it at your nearest location, so you can see it in person before purchasing. Amazon also has a variety of Veradek planters for sale, including the Demi Series Round Planter, available in a variety of colors including terracotta, sand, and gray. Similarly, Costco also carries other Veradek planters online. 

If you are only willing to shop online, there are plenty of Costco garden items that are worth your money to consider. For instance, there is the Capri Planter that is stylistically comparable, with a similar fluted design. It comes in a set of two and is available in both black and white. The planter is 21 inches tall rather than 16 inches, and it has a stand made of Acacia wood. The matching planter set costs $99.99 on the Costco website, four times as much as the single viral planter available in stores. If you are set on buying the Veradek planter from Costco, call the store ahead of time to see if it is available before making the trip.
