IKEA Is About To Kick Off A Celebratory 40 Weeks Of Deals - Here's What To Know

If it feels like IKEA has been a fixture of interior design for decades, it's because it has. For four decades, IKEA has been there through our first apartments, college dorms, and growing families. We've all spent weekends assembling our pieces, bonding with our loved ones in the process. Stylish IKEA items are in every home, even those of HGTV stars. Now, to mark the brand's 40th anniversary in the United States, IKEA is launching "40 weeks of deals" to celebrate with savings and surprises. It's their way of saying thanks for letting them be part of American homes for so long. 

But what, exactly, can you expect from "40 weeks of deals," and how can you take advantage of it? The nationwide anniversary campaign promises giveaways, limited-edition collections, special deals, and even some in-store events. All of this good fun will be happening between September 24, 2025, and June 29, 2026 (40 weeks is a long time!). During that time, customers will have access to new offers weekly across the store's collections and products, both online and in-store. Whether you're planning a full apartment makeover or looking for an affordable new spice rack, these deals promise to have something in store for you.

And for the actual anniversary of IKEA U.S., on September 27, customers who are part of the IKEA family loyalty program can head to physical (participating) stores across the country for in-person celebrations, including breakfast, cake, raffles, gift giveaways, and '80s costume competitions. 

So what, exactly, can you expect from IKEA's "40 weeks of deals" at IKEA? Well, as the name implies, lots of deals. Until June 29, 2026, IKEA will have new promotions each week. We don't know exactly what the deals will include, but over the course of 40 weeks, it will likely cover a lot of IKEA home essentials and some more niche products, too.

In addition to these deals, customers can also expect some IKEA throwback offers, like a 1985 meatball plate available for $2.99 until October 28. This is a nod to the famous IKEA meatballs, which were launched 40 years ago in 1985. As part of the anniversary celebration, IKEA is launching its AURTIENDE collection, which is full of accessories and apparel designed specifically for fans who want to celebrate the brand. The new collection includes IKEA-branded hoodies, T-shirts, hats, tote bags, and water bottles.

To celebrate its 40 years in America, IKEA is not only giving to its customers. Leading up to September 27, the brand is also donating 40% of sales from its throwback collection, NYTILLVERKAD. The collection includes a few pieces introduced in the 1980s, such as the KLIPPAN loveseat and the SKÅLBODA armchair (known initially as the JÄRPEN easy chair), and the funds will be given to Family Promise, an organization that helps families struggling with homelessness.
