Use Your Swiffer To Make A Time Consuming Household Chore More Convenient

Most everyone has a cleaning task they despise. For some, washing their home's windows sits near the top of the list. It might not be one you have to do as frequently as other chores, but it can take a lot of time and energy. And if you have high windows, it's a little scary, too. As it turns out, though, the answer to window cleaning frustrations may have been sitting in your closet the whole time — a Swiffer. When dirt and water stains build up on your windows, it can reduce visibility and lighting indoors, drag down your home's looks, and even do damage to the glass. The other main cleaning tool you're going to need when cleaning your windows with your Swiffer is a microfiber cloth, preferably one around 10 inches by 9 inches to neatly fit the mop head. Attach it to the end of the Swiffer handle the same way you would with their regular cloths, tucking the ends into the corners. Or, secure it tight with rubber bands. In a pinch, though, you could always attach a paper towel. 

Spray the cloth with your regular window cleaner, or spray it directly on the window. You'll now be able to easily go over the glass with the Swiffer until it's shiny and streak-free. Best of all, it's a great way to clean high-up windows and low ones that require bending over. If you prefer a natural window-cleaning solution instead, make up a mixture of one part water and one part vinegar in a spray bottle. For added power, squeeze in two to three drops of dish soap as well. Soak a clean microfiber cloth in the mixture, and wring it out thoroughly. Then, attach it to your Swiffer to clean the window. Repeat soaking and wringing it out whenever necessary. If your window gets too wet, go over it with a dry cloth.
