Apart from all of the delish food, the thing that makes your Thanksgiving table so appealing is a pretty fall holiday table centerpiece. When you end up with a focus piece that's also cheap, it makes things all the more appetizing. And nowhere is it easier to find the makings for chic Thanksgiving table décor than at the Dollar Tree.
Although elaborate and time-consuming, holiday DIYs have their place in the ardent crafter's repertoire, but sometimes you just need something that's simple to make. That describes this Dollar Tree craft perfectly! The body of it is created from Dollar Tree's 5-inch by 5.25-inch Pumpkin-Shaped Glass Jars with Rose Gold Lids. The jars are a fairly decent size and only cost $1.50. Still, if you'd like maximum coverage on your Thanksgiving table, you'll want to get more than one jar. To make your design more eye-catching, follow the Rule of Threes. This interior design rule suggests that you arrange items, in this case, the pumpkin jars, in clusters of three.
Each pumpkin-shaped jar is large enough to fill with the likes of a Luminessence Flickering LED White Tealight Candle, which you'll also find at Dollar Tree. The setup really becomes something to look at when you decorate the lid with assorted silk flowers, which you'll take from DT's Silk Flower Bush. You'll need to trim the flowers down to make them fit the tops of the lids, so have some scissors handy. Finally, a glue gun and some glue sticks bind everything you're adding to the Dollar Tree pumpkin jars together, so have those craft tools handy, too.
Putting the pumpkin centerpiece together
Dollar Tree carries pumpkin-shaped jars in both orange and clear colors. To make the arrangement more visually engaging, don't just settle on one color for the jars. Buy two orange jars and one clear jar. This adds to the appeal you'll get from following the Rule of Threes.
The silk flowers you'll place on top of the jars augment the visual juxtaposition of the differently-colored jars. When you're looking for silk bouquets for this arrangement, gravitate toward the flower clusters that feature fall colors if they're available. If they're not, look for Floral Garden Fall Leaves Foliage Stems and other leaf clusters made from synthetic silk. Glue the floral elements onto the jars' lids. You can follow the Rule of Three on this, too, if you'd like. For example, glue two fall leaves and a large, single flower onto the lid. Items like Beceto Fake Acorns add interesting textural elements you won't get with the flowers and leaves alone, so if you have them, use them.
It's also possible to give this real, homemade appeal. For example, use items you've gathered on your fall walk – acorns, pinecones, and pieces of pine branches. If you're feeling really ambitious, you can preserve the color of dried fall leaves in glycerine and use those instead of the silk ones from Dollar Tree. Additionally, items like the pinecones and acorns can be combined with the decorative craft items you bought at Dollar Tree to create variety. Once your decorating efforts are done, place an LED candle in the bottom of each of your jars and arrange the glowing jars on your Thanksgiving table.
