Aldi Fans Raved About This Versatile Accent Cabinet. Now, It's Back

If you're an avid Aldi shopper, then you know that the best deals to be had are often the Aldi Finds. They're also the most likely to disappear quickly, never to be seen again, which is why so many Aldi shoppers are making a beeline to Aldi to get its reissued Sohl Accent Cabinet. First introduced in 2024, the cabinet features a rattan front, cute mid-century modern-style legs and cabinet construction, as well as adjustable shelves, making it a fashionable and practical addition to any room.

Its dimensions run 31.49 inches by 13.77 inches by 31 inches. That means it's a smidgen shallow. However, some users have expanded the storage capabilities by doubling up the cabinets, side by side, to make a DIY kitchen sideboard. Given that it's less than 14 inches deep, there's an argument for doing this if you have a very narrow dining room, too. The depth of the piece opens up plenty of walk space between the cabinet and the table. And its adjustable shelves make it a good place to stash dishes so that they're in close proximity to the table (and possibly a kitchen pass-through, if you have one).

The Sohl Accent Cabinet costs less than $70 and will need to be assembled once you get it home. This requires just a screwdriver or drill. Aside from that, all of the major parts – the hinges, the screws, and the wooden pieces – come in the box, ready to be assembled and put to good use.

Ways Aldi fans are using the cabinet

Aside from pushing two cabinets together to make a sideboard, fans of this cabinet have used it to make twin door-side tables to put on each side of the front door. If you're looking for a place to drop your keys and your mail, plus store items like shoes and scarves, this is definitely a contender for the job. Others have used it to stash homeschooling and art supplies in. There is also a suggestion that it might be a good place to disguise a router; the mesh front and wooden cabinet would allow the signal to still penetrate. Still, other home decorating enthusiasts are trying it in the bathroom – you can never have too many towel storage solutions, after all.

When it comes out of the box, it's a neutral beige color. Some owners of this little beauty have used some spray paint and added new hardware to fancy it up a bit. This would be an inexpensive way to make it fit your decor, particularly if you want to add small pops of color to a space. Finally, it is worth mentioning again that the piece already sold out once. If it's something you had your eye on in 2024 and missed the first time around, you might want to get into your car and drive to Aldi now, 'cuz when it's gone, it's gone.
